Detailed notes
    - In vitro shoot regeneration procedure for oregano explants (O. minutiflorum O. Schwarz & Davis), endemic medical species of Turkey, is described. Hypocotyl, shoot apex, leaf disc and single nodal segment explants excised from 15 d old in vitro germinated seedlings were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) and B5 media supplemented with combination of 1.5 mg L-1 benzylaminopurine (BAP) and 0.2 mg L naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) containing 3% sucrose and 0.6% agar. Single nodal segment explants are the best source for the highest shoot induction and development (70%) obtained on MS medium in term of shoot regeneration and no success was obtained for other explants types. However for all explants, this phyto hormone combination and 135 medium had no effective success and therefore was not suitable on in vitro shoot regeneration.
